Baptism is the first of the Sacraments of Initiation where a person is baptised in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and welcomed into the Christian Community. Here at St Luke’s we regularly baptise infants, children and adults. Baptisms for children and infants are generally held on Sundays following the 8am Mass.
If you would like to enquire about baptising your infant or child at St Luke’s please complete the Baptism Enquiry Form. Once you have completed this form, please email it to the Parish Office via the Contact Form and we will contact you to make further arrangements. Alternatively please call 0467 775 862 for more information regarding Baptisms.
Please note that in order to baptise your infant or child we require at least one parent to be a baptised Catholic. It will also be necessary for you to attend a baptismal preparation meeting prior to the baptism. These preparation sessions will normally take place on Sunday morning after Mass. Adults wishing to be baptised will be asked to take part in an Adult Preparation Program. If you are considering baptism as an adult please contact the Parish Office on 0467 775 862 to discuss this process further. |
